Rescue Teams
Used by Professionals
Since its launch, the award-winning Active 10, Active 12, and Active 20 have been undergoing rigorous testing by rescue teams and other non-commercial organisations across the world. Through the close collaboration with these professionals, Satmap has been able to continuously implement new functions and features, designed especially to improve safety, reliability and ease of use; crucial factors during any rescue operation (users are advised to carry paper mapping as a backup).
The Active 10,12, and 20 have been quickly adopted by rescue teams and today Satmap is:
- endorsed by SARDA, the Search and Rescue Dogs Association (England & Wales)
- endorsed by Mountain Rescue Ireland and SARDA Ireland
- endorsed by over 40 Mountain, Lowland and Cave Rescue Teams in the UK
- used by OEBRD, the Austrian Mountain Rescue Team
- used by the Bergwacht, the German Mountain Rescue Team (part of the German Red Cross)
- used by REDOG the Swiss mountain rescue team
- used by the dog handling teams of the St Johanniter (St John Ambulance) in Germany
