Who are Digital Aerial Imagery & What type of data do they provide?

Digital Aerial Imagery are our maps provided by Bluesky. These are comprised of very high quality aerial photos, from a “birds-eye view”. These maps typically cover a large area, for example the whole of Wales.

Who is it used by?

Digital Aerial Imagery maps are often used by groups such as engineers, researchers and surveyors – fields that can benefit from having a top down view of an area.

What makes Digital Aerial Imagery different from other maps?

Our Digital Aerial Imagery are different to other most maps because they’re actual photos taken, instead of being a series of mathematically drawn points. This makes the map feel very different to use.
